Second time this year 4+ people were fired unexpectedly from my employer. I don't think they realize how bad that looks. I also need to find a new job, because that's scary.
I genuinely believe we need to be better about firing people, corporate cultures need to gel. But we also need to be better about hiring people who were fired. And a culture that fires fast and hires fast is different than one that randomly has a half dozen people fired despite glowing reviews.
I did explicitly work for a corporation to be marcenary. I want Becky to be able to do whatever she wants, whether that's volunteering, school, mothering, or anything else, so mercenary for money. But... damn.
